Seamstress / Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Seamstress/Tailor to add to our team. As a key member of our production team, they are responsible for operating the sewing machines to produce the various products in our collection line. Our team of operators/seamstress/tailors is committed, attentive and participates in the development and continuous improvement of our products. The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions, precise, and efficient, with a passion for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and an appreciation for Indigenous arts and cultures.

A typical day at MINI TIPI involves:
- Operating industrial sewing machines in a production line
- Performing repetitive tasks consistently
- Working in a goal-oriented environment
- Following the instructions from our Head of Production
- Meeting individual daily quotas
We are looking for someone with :
- Have 2-3 years of experience using industrial sewing machines
- Attention to detail
- Able to work in a dynamic environment
- Team spirit and open-mindedness
- The ability to sit for long periods of time
- Demonstrate organization and ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
- Ability to keep a steady hand while running fabric through a machine
- Experience in production line operations
- Able to perform repetitive tasks
- A strong attention to detail
- Proven ability to follow instructions
- Ability to understand machine operation instructions
