We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Seamstress/Tailor to add to our team. As a key member of our production team, they are responsible for operating the sewing machines to produce the various products in our collection line. Our team of operators/seamstress/tailors is committed, attentive and participates in the development and continuous improvement of our products. The ideal candidate will be able to follow instructions, precise, and efficient, with a passion for promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion, and  an appreciation for Indigenous arts and cultures.

A typical day at MINI TIPI involves:

• Operating industrial sewing machines in a production line
• Performing repetitive tasks consistently
• Working in a goal-oriented environment
• Following the instructions from our Head of Production
• Meeting individual daily quotas

We are looking for someone with : 

• Have 2-3 years of experience using industrial sewing machines
• Attention to detail 
• Able to work in a dynamic environment
• Team spirit and open-mindedness
• The ability to sit for long periods of time
• Demonstrate organization and ability to work independently in a fast paced environment
• Ability to keep a steady hand while running fabric through a machine
• Experience in production line operations
• Able to perform repetitive tasks
• A strong attention to detail
• Proven ability to follow instructions
• Ability to understand machine operation instructions
