Is MINI TIPI Indigenous Owned?

MINI TIPI is recognized by the Canadian Council of Aboriginal Business, and Identification Premieres Nations First Nations as an Indigenous owned business.

MINI TIPI was co-founded in 2016 by Trisha Pitura, who is a member of Nipissing First Nation, and Melanie Bernard, from Quebec City of settler descent.

MINI TIPI not only creates exclusive designs, but also collaborates with Indigenous artists all across Turtle Island to provide a platform to highlight their art work as entrepreneurs and share their knowledge and teachings through beautiful designs. How to wash my MINI TIPI Blanket?

Due to the wool blend of MINI TIPI products, items can be washed on cold and hung to dry.

Our blankets are 60 inches by 80 inches.

What kind of fabric does MINI TIPI use for their blankets?

MINI TIPI uses wool blend fabrics for their products that consists of recycled wool, recycled acrylic, and a small percentage of polyester to hold the recycled fibres together.

Where is MINI TIPI’s fabric woven?

Our eco-friendly fabric is woven in Italy with recycled wool and polyester.

Where are MINI TIPI products manufactured?

MINI TIPI products are manufactured locally in Gatineau, Québec in our warehouse.

Does MINI TIPI have a store?

Although MINI TIPI does not have a physical store, we do partner with many boutiques and businesses who carry our items. Check out our Stockist page to find a store near you.

Can I pick up my MINI TIPI order if I am local?

Yes, if you are local to Aylmer, QC you can write to the note section of your order that you would like a ‘’Local Pick Up’’. We will email you once your order is ready to arrange the pick up.

What are your shipping policies?

Canadian Orders:

MINI TIPI ships orders via Purolator or Canada Post. Please put a message with your order if you prefer one of the carrier. Orders are shipped out within 1-4 days of order placed. Once the order has shipped out, it should typically arrive within 5 days in Canada.

United States Orders:

Please make sure you entered the right address at check-out.

MINI TIPI ships orders to the USA with Canada Post. Orders are shipped out within 1-4 days of order placed. Once the order has shipped out, it should typically arrive within 1-2 weeks in the United States.

What are your return and exchange policies?

The customer is responsible for all shipping costs associated with returns or exchanges.

If an order is returned to us from the mail carrier due to an incomplete or invalid address, MINI TIPI will charge additional shipping fees to the customer for the second shipping attempt. Inputting the correct address, contact email, and contact phone number is the responsibility of the customer.

If the product you ordered doesn't fit or is unsatisfactory in any way, you have 30 days from the original date of purchase to return the item to us for an exchange OR a refund, excluding the original cost of shipping.
